Anyway, going back to said Father’s Day celebration I convinced my brother to participate the First Hakata Ikkousha Manila Ramen Eating Contest. I know for the fact that ever since we were young he is a fast eater. The competition is open to all Super Dad and as well the Ramen Lovers. So guess what, Hubby was also there to compete with his brother-in-law haha!
There were two batches with 7 participants, the first batch started around 2:30 PM. The mechanics of the contest is to eat as many bowls of ramen as they can for 20 minutes. Whoever wins the challenge per batch will have an Ultimate Ramen Eating Face Off. The winner will get to bring P5,000 cash and P10,000 worth of Hakata Ikkousha Manila Gift Certificates.
Ofcourse, I was there with my niece to cheer for his Daddy and Tito Ninong. In a matter of 12 minutes Kuya was leading with his two emptied bowls while Hubby was sweating all over as he tried to finished his second bowl.
Unfortunately Kuya lost as his opponent has ess weight of ramen left in his bowl huhu! Well, I’m still proud of my two boys for being so competitive hihi!
It was a tough game for the second batch. The winner of the first batch is Michael Zuñiga of Katooga.ph and the winner of the second batch is Lord Ancheta of Hour Philippines TV. They were challenged to compete over Hakata Ikkousha’s God Fire Ramen (Spicy Level 1). Whoever is the fastest to finish his bowl will win the title of 1st Hakata Ikkousha Ramen Ultimate Champion and the generous prizes from the owner itself Ms. Marivic Tomoda.
Congratulations to Mr. Lord Ancheta for winning the 1st Hakata Ikkousha’s Ultimate Ramen Champion. All the participants were awarded with P1,000 worth of gift certificates.
Thank you Hakata Ikkousha Manila for a memorable Father’s Day celebration with my brother and hubby! (heart)
