Savory Dishes of The Black Pig in CommerCenter Filinvest

I’ve heard so much postive feedback about The Black Pig restaurant located at CommerCenter. Finally, I was able to tried it , thanks to #ZomatoPH for the invite.

The Black Pig’s name is inspired by the Spain’s Black Iberico Pig which is known to be the finest ham in the world and our very own Native Lechon which are both delicious beyond compare.

Black Pig

The interior of The Black Pig is kinda classy with matching dim lights that’s perfect for your special date night. They also have an alfresco dining set up where you can enjoy the cold air at night. Black Pig also serve alcoholic drinks which are crafted at their very own in-house bar.

While waiting for your meals you can start digging on their  freshly baked complimentary breads. Yey! Honestly,  it’s hard for me to decide which is my most favorite dish because everything they served are all delicious. Below are some of Black Pig’s dishes that we tried.

Black Pig

The Black Pig Charcuterie Board (P950)
We started our meal with nothing but the best hams like Lomo Iberico, Chorizo Iberico, Sacchicho Iberico , Salami Milano with some fresh greens, salsa and toasted breads on the side.  You may also  add some cheese for an extra cost per grams. All you can say while munching on some ham is, Where’s the wine?

Black Pig

Asian Mix Salad (P390)
What a beautiful combination of colors for this salad. It includes mixed leaves, red cabbages, the fried wantons and sesame seeds gave this salad some crunch. While the sweet ponkan wedges balances the dressings.

Black Pig

Calamares and Fries (P350)
Perfectly cooked squids with the right amount of batter. It is so good that you wouldn’t feel any rubbery texture of the squid. This is good for sharing but be sure to have an extra order because you will find it “bitin”.

Black Pig

Scallop (P750)
Say hello to these glorious scallops cooked in bone marrow, pickled onions and some calamansi butter sauce.

Black Pig

Beef Cheeks (P850)
Beautifully plated melt in your mouth Beef Cheeks. I’m sure anyone will be impressed with this dish.

Black Pig

Shrimp Risotto (P420)
A creamy platter of Risotto with some shrimps. A simple dish yet you will be fully satisfied after.

Black Pig

Black Ink Rice with Squid and Aioli (P250)
Another beautiful dish from Black Pig, sauteed calamari topped on a black in rice with aioli sauce. The sauce has a nice creaminess and will not give any “umay” at all.

Black Pig

Mushroom Truffle Canneloni (P450)
The melt-in-your mouth canneloni is worth its price. If you love muhsroom truffle don’t ever think twice of getting this dish. Still, I can’t stop thinking about it while I’m writing this blog haha.

Black Pig

Pork Belly (P490)
Indulge yourself with Black Pig’s Pork Belly, have it with plain rice and I’m sure you will leave a clean plate after haha. Seriously, the Pork fat is very satisfying.

Black Pig

Salt-Crusted Sea Bass (P790)
We’re lucky that we have tried this dish, because according to the Chef they only serve 2 orders of Salt-Crusted Sea Bass per day. The whole fish is covered with salt but don’t worry it’s not salty at all. The salt set to a crust holds the moisture in the fish.

Black Pig

The Black Pig Burger (P390)
Carnivorous will rejoice with their burger patty, moist and juicy. There’s not too much dressings on it  but its completely delicious.  It is served with fries and some onion string. One order is actually good for sharing.

We concluded our  meal with Black Pig’s , they are the living proof that Life is better with desserts!

Black Pig

Calamansi Dalandan Tart

Black Pig

Chocolate Tart (P250)

Black Pig

Chocolate Praline
