Firefly Roofdeck Bar is the place to be if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the metro. Situated at the 32nd floor of City Garden Grand Hotel in Makati, anyone can easily fall in love with this kind of view, an open-air bar next to the hotel pool.
There is nothing better than sipping your favorite drink while watching the sunset or appreciating the stunning view of Makati. A superb venue for romantic dates especially at night.
Firefly Roofdeck Bar is not limited to hotel guests only, anyone can dine in as early as 9:00 AM. They have extensive set of menus from ala carte, mongolian buffet or even drink concoctions. So how was their food like? Scroll down slowly!:)
I really liked the tomato based spicy sauce of the Asian Spicy Meatballs (P280) but unfortunately the meatballs did not gave justice to this dish, the sauce was too flavorful that they forgot the meat. Sigh!
Kids will surely get gaga over the Chicken Popcorn (P390) with butter and honey sauce. Big juicy chunks of chicken without too much breading. I just hope it came in bite-sized pieces.
Crispy Crablets (P195), finger food perfect for “pulutan” or beer match for any alcoholic beverages.
They achieved the right cooking of Beer Battered Fish and Chips (P310) but the taste will not stand out unless you put the tartar sauce that comes with the dish.
That perfect balance of sweet and salty courtesy of miso makes this Miso Teriyaki (P95) dish a winner for me! I’m actually craving for it while I’m writing this down. I’m pretty sure it goes well with plain rice but thank goodness rice is not included in our meals that day or else I had two cups haha!
Lamb is not my friend, even though this piece of meat is pricey I’m not a fan. I tried the Lamb Shank Sinigang (P1,250), the “asim” is just enough to make it a comforting soup, I had a small piece of meat, it was tender but again it’s just not my type (sorry!).

How I wanted my burger??🍔 Loaded with bacon and cheese!😊 Classic American Burger (P565.00) from @citygardenhotelmakati that's good for sharing. . . #PrigiEats #Joyrneytolife #zomatopobcrawl #zomatopoblacioncrawl #zomatobarcrawl #foodiecouple #barcrawl #makati #burger #roofdeck #makatiview #alcoholicdrinks #lovelocal #supportlocal #locallyph #locally #summercocktails #poblacionbarcrawl #drinklocally @zomatoph
The Classic American Burger (P565) seems ordinary because of its usual ingredients for a burger. What makes it the center of attraction? Because of its huge size that can be shared among 6 people. We have to sliced it like pizza to equally distribute the fillings. Amazingly the patty was pretty moist, seasoned and cooked just the way I wanted it. Oh and see that generous strips of bacon?
We had two kinds of Pizza that day, Supremo Pizza (P395) and Garlic & Shrimp Pizza (P400). I prefer the latter, the simplest looking pizza but oozing with cheesy goodness I feel so extremely happy with every bite!
The paper thin-skin is tempting, you can easily pull any part of the chicken without needing a knife. A typical pinoy-styled chicken with liver sauce.
Firefly Roofdeck Bar has many options for cocktails and mixed drink recipes. During our visit we tried some of them with Locally products.
Guyabano Margarita is perfect for the hot weather, we might need this once in a while! A little alcohol on it won’t hurt right?
I never expected that this Kamias Mojito is sooo refreshing, minty and just a little sourly punch from kamias. By the way, I had two shots haha!
Mangosteen with mint and honey, a thirst-quenching drink. Dalandan Sangria (first photo) was too strong for me, I didn’t recognized any fruity taste dalandan at all.
The next time you’re out for date, chillax with friends or dinner with family you might want to consider them. Address posted below!
