Watersport enthusiasts throughout the country are invited as the need to expand and offer more exciting watersports will be catered on this annual event by a stacked line – up of sand and water sport competition such as:
Dragon Boat
Rooted on its Chinese origins, where carved boats are painted ornately with a dragon head at the bow and a tail on its stern, symbolically driven by 18 – 20 paddlers per standard size, plus a drummer and the steeler, will see action at the Dragonboat Competition. This year’s event will be divided into three categories: Open, Women’s, and Mixed, on a 200 – meters straight course. Trophies and Gift Certificates are up for grabs at this year’s competition.

Regatta
On the other hand, will be back again this year where it will be participated no less by members of the Philippine National Sailing Team. Regatta is a series of boat races of rowed or sailed watercrafts that includes social and promotional activities which surrounds the racing event. This year’s Regatta will be divided into two class – Optimist and Mirror Dinghy. The Optimist Class A are single handed boat sailed by sailors whose age are not less than 13 or with more than a year of sailing experience. Class B are those ages are less than 13 or with less than 1 year of sailing experience. The Mirror Dinghy Class are intermediate boats sailed by two sailors. This year’s competition will be run by the Philippines Sailing Association.
Sea Fair Poker Run
Will give new twist to water sports arena. Basically combining the laid-back sport of Poker on participants boat or yacht, and water, er, the sea. The mechanics for this intriguing event is to pick cards from one location or checkpoint. Speed boat participants may draw cards from each stop until they get the total of five cards on their Score/Tally Sheet. Although this is a “run”, there are no prizes for speed – it is not race. A team will win based on their cards picked from each stop where the winning hand will be determined by standard poker hand rankings. In case of a tie, there will be a draw of High Card to determine the winner.
Beach Tennis and Beach Volleyball
Also added at this year’s spectacle are thr duo of Sand Sports which will surely enliven the crowds. This action-packed serve and volley game organized under the London – based international Tennis Federation will be played on sand court at the SM by the Bay. Similar to the regular Tennis sport, Beach Tennis will be played in doubles and singles. Beach tennis rackets called” paddle bats” and low-compression “orange” balls will be used to this relatively new beach sport.
Guaranteed to generate “ooh’s and aah ‘s” from guests and participants alike, Beach Volleyball will also make its debut at this year’s expo. Fundamentally similar to indoor volleyball, this team sport is played by two teams of two players on a sand court divided by a net. The first to win two sets wins the match whereas a set is won by the first team to reach 21 points with a two-point advantages. Beach Volleyball is a great addition at this year’s program highlighting Sea Fair’15 theme of bringing this extravagant Boat Show experience outdoors.

Simultaneous from these fascinating Sand and Water Sports, Sea Fair Boat Show 2015 will hold display for the coolest watersport gears and accessories, marine equipment and peripherals, and practically all Boating, Marine and Watersport industry – related stuffs.
All are cordially invited to this grand exposition of marine lifestyle. This sounds fun right? So mark those calendars for the biggest and most anticipated event of the year!?
