Pinoy Ito Bazaar aims to help women and children in need!

Zonta Club of Muntinlupa and Environs Foundation is an organization that helps women and children who are in need. One of the milestone projects of ZCME, now its centerpiece program, is SAGIP (Saklolo at Gabay ng Ina at Pamilya), an emergency crisis center that provides free services and temporary shelter for battered and sexually abused women and children. Highly successful in its mission to serve victim clientele, SAGIP has grown to become a well-integrated one-stop sanctuary for abused women and children.

It provides center-based programs such as 24-hour hotlines, temporary shelters, legal and medical assistance and psychological counseling and therapy. It also provides non-center based programs, via community advocacy and education, transforming communities into pro-active partners, and the creation of “structures of care” such as the Gabay Bata Councils in every public school – elementary and secondary within Muntinlupa; publication and distribution of advocacy materials, and teaching/ monitoring of Personal Safety Lessons (PSL) for the prevention of abuse.

To date, SAGIP has handled over 10,000 cases of abused women and children in its Crisis Center, has reached over 22,000 community residents through its various awareness programs and is sponsoring the teaching of “Personal Safety Lessons” to over 31,000 Muntinlupa Public School students through its “Gabay Bata” program.
