Do you still remember those Japanese Robots that we used to loved way back ago? C’mon let’s not talk about age here hehe. I’m sure you can recognize the Voltes V, Mazinger Z and even Daimos. Here at Mr. Roboto you can see many familiar robots among their wall interior. Mr. Roboto is managed by David Mendoza and Dani Ramos, their parents are business partners as well of Neil’s Kitchen, a well-known dining destination in the South.
Mr. Roboto is quite small and can only accommodate around 40 people. Mr. Roboto has an all-female kitchen staff which meticulously prepares every dish. They have a small open kitchen where you can watch the preparation of your sushis.
Nori Nachos (P350)
Fried nori, crispy kani tossed with pickled tuna and spicy salmon with cream cheese and wasabi mayo. Though it was pleasurable to eat, I find it a little bit greasy. I suggest you should have it with beer on the side.
Mr. Roboto Maki (P280)
Mr. Roboto Maki has a cucumber roll base that’s why its color green. This one is an all tuna rolls, from the toppings up to the sauce. I liked that you can actually enjoy its fillings, you can get what you have paid for. This one is one of their most ordered Maki.
This one is the typical japanese rice wrapped in a seaweed sheet, topped with spicy shrimp, pickled aburi ebi and sprikled with Furikake (dry japanese seasoning). It is quite huge in serving and the only disadvantage is on how to eat this without getting messy at all.
Voltes V (P280)
Let’s volt in! That’s my initial reaction when this plate was served. It has fried shrimp and crabsticks on top of a kani salad with tenkasu (crunchy bits of deep-fried flour-batter).
Shake Nigiri P255
This one is a certified eye catcher because of its color. The pink rice is topped with fresh cuts of negi salmon, infused with soy truffle and beets sauce. I’m quite biased because I love anything with salmon.
Maguro Nigiri P245
A version of nigiri with a nutty flavor, this one is topped with tuna. I’ve noticed that Mr. Roboto’s choices of rolls are already tasty on its own, I didn’t even bother to have it with a soy sauce.
Chicken Kastu (P420)
The chicken meat is juicy and tasty, it also comes with grilled vegetables.
Ultimate Prawn Tempura (P495)
A filling rice bowl topped with hefty serving of charred Prawn Tempura. I liked the idea that the breading is just enough to cover the prawn, you get to enjoy what’s inside. It’s sauce is thicker than the usual tempura sauce.
Chocolate Bread Pudding (P295)
I didn’t expect this dessert was a pudding. It is rich and moist. It has candied bacon bits and nutella dressing. It comes with a vanilla ice cream on top that slowly melting over the hot pudding.
