Salvatore Cuomo and Bar Anniversary Special Pizza and Lunch Buffet

Salvatore Cuomo and Bar celebrated its second birthday last June. As part of its month-long anniversary celebration, you get to enjoy some of Salvatore Cuomo’s signature dishes without leaving you bankrupt after. For the price of P600 (weekdays) or P900 (weekends/holidays) you can indulge in their Anniversary Special Pizza and Lunch Buffet which already includes Italian appetizers, fresh salads, pizzas, drinks and  one main course (pasta).  They have several pasta dishes offerings which I will also post below.

Lat me tour you inside Salvatore Cuomo and Bar, very elegant and modern interior with high ceiling. Spacious enough even if the place gets jam-packed especially now that they have a promo. The waiter will  give you a basket for your bag which can be place under the table so you can sit comfortably.

Salvatore Cuomo

To give you a short background, Salvatore Cuomo is a premium Italian causal dining restaurant  located at the ground floor of Uptown Parade in Bonifacio Global City.  Named after himself, Salvatore is an Italian-Japanese Chef who introduced the authentic Neopolitan Pizza in Japan. Well, we don’t need to travel all the way to Japan just to have a taste of Chef Salvatore Cuomo dishes. Clap!Clap!

Let’s start the buffet with the mix-your-own-salad, vibrant color of veggies which indicates freshness (choices: lettuce, cabbage, beets, cucumber, corn, beans, olives, radish, etc.). There are three kinds of dressings: Dill, E’stragon (tarragon) and Caesar.

Another part of the buffet is the wide-spread of Italian appetizers.  My top choices among the appetizers: (1) Cauliflower Gratin which is creamy and tasty. It can be a good substitute for rice because it’s quite heavy on the tummy.  (2) Marinated Pumpkin is such a great pumpkin dish, so flavorful and satisfying. (3) I find the Potato Shoestring enjoyable to eat especially if it just came out from the fryer.

My  favorite part of the buffet is the pizza section. You can have as much as you want (hooray!), take note this is not just an ordinary pizza. Salavatore Cuomo’s pizza are baked in an oven that came all the way from Naples, Italy.  All pizzas are made with only freshest and finest ingredients.

Quatro Formaggi (P770)

There were 4 pizza choices that day, I had several slices of  the Quatro Formaggi or also known as the Four Cheese Pizza.  Best eaten with honey syrup. Oh I can still remember how good it is, there’s no “umay” taste at all. Original price is at P770 so getting the buffet for P600 with unlimited pizza is a real deal already.

Iced Tea, Lemonade and Detox Water are the only drinks included in the buffet. If you’re up for a celebration, they also have a bar which offers extensive wines, beers, whiskeys, brandy, fresh fruit shakes and etc (again not included in the buffet price).

MAIN COURSE/PASTA

Here are the choices for the main course. You get to pick one Salvatore Cuomo’s pasta only (single order) as part of the buffet. Honestly it’s a very tough decision because all of them were delicious! Anyway, I’ll try my best to describe each pasta.

Salvatore Cuomo

Spaghetti Carbonara

This is one of the most popular Italian Pasta dishes, it looks pretty simple yet there’s something in its sauce that will leave you wanting for more.

Salvatore Cuomo

Pancetta Bacon and Mushrooms Risotto

The unique nutty taste of the mushroom carry through the nicely cooked risotto. The pancetta bacon complimented the whole dish.

Salvatore Cuomo

Homemade Lasagna

You can’t hardly noticed the cheese on this pasta. I prefer my lasagna covered with cheese but in this case it doesn’t even matter anymore. The sauce is not overwhelming rich yet full of flavors making this lasagna absolutely amazing.

Salvatore Cuomo

Spaghetti with Clams and Zucchini

Pasta that’s fit for a seafood lover. The briny juices from the fresh clams were fantastic!

Salvatore Cuomo

Gnocchi in Tomato Sauce with Cheese and Basil

Instead of pasta, this one is made from potatoes. I love the simple combination of tomato sauce, cheese and basil.

Salvatore Cuomo

Tagliatelle with Italian Sausage and Broccoli in Cream Sauce

If you want something creamy and loaded with meat  for a pasta this dish will suits you.

FISH

I was shocked when I saw the ala carte prices for the Fish Section. Adding P300 can let you pick among the seafood or salmon which is more “tipid”.

Salvatore Cuomo
Grilled Seafood Skewers (900)

Grilled octopus, fish, squid and shrimp on skewer. All were perfectly cooked which makes it easy to chew.

Salvatore Cuomo

Pan Fried Salmon with Mediterranean Sauce  (P800)

Yey for the perfect pan-fried salmon my favorite! Moist and tender flesh with a crisp golden crust.

MEAT

If you prefer meat you can add P300, it maybe pricey but if you will compute it you can save almost 50% of the total price for the ala carte order (I indicated the price below the pictures). Here are the two options:

Salvatore Cuomo

Homemade Roasted Pork or Porchetta (P650)

Among the two available meat, this is one is more “sulit” because it be shared by two to three people. Slow-roasted pork belly stuffed with different herbs. Seeing the crackling golden skin will make you salivate.

Salvatore Cuomo

Oven-Roasted Chicken with Balsamic and Mustard Sauce  (P650)

The chicken was very moist and flavorful served with roasted potatoes. I would love to have it over and over again.

DESSERT

Unfortunately sweet treats are not included in the buffet every weekdays but don’t worry you can order it in ala carte. Better save an extra money because the prices of their desserts ranges from P220 to P420.

Salvatore Cuomo

Tiramisu served with Pistachio Gelato (P420)

A dessert for coffee and cheese lover rolled into one. Imagine the goodness and aroma of coffee mixed with mild and creamy taste of mascarpone cheese. Heaven right? It also comes with a pistachio gelato which makes it more special.

Salvatore Cuomo

Amaretto Pannacotta with Fresh Mango (P320)

Almond-flavored wibbly-wobbly chilled panna cotta soaked in fresh mango puree. Something light to end a sumptuous meal.

Salvatore Cuomo

Chocolate Walnut Mousse (P320)

Beautifully created with smooth, shiny chocolate frosting. The mousse itself is richly flavored yet light as air. The kind of dessert that I want to stock inside my fridge hihi.

Salvatore Cuomo

Torta de Frutta (P320)

A combination of red and white dragon fruits, kiwi, blueberries and ripe mangoes served on top of  a crunchy tart. What a refreshing and healthy dessert! If you had too much on the buffet  this is the kind of dessert that can satisfy your sweet tooth and the same time  guilt free.

Salvatore Cuomo

Chocolate Soufflé with Latté Gelato (P320)

It has a delicious molten center, pure chocolate-y decadence from the inside out with a dusting of powdered sugar on top.  Served with  Latté Gelato for a creamier experience. This is a perfect dessert for your cheat day haha!

Salvatore Cuomo

Cannoli (P280)

The combination of the creamy and the pistachio bits inside the crunchy shell are good enough to eat alone.

What are you waiting for?? This promo will not last a life-time so better fix your schedule and save up some money for an Italian feast.
