I will never forget the Truffled Bone Marrow dish that I have tried from my first ever visit to Mati’s Meat and Bread. So sad that they no longer serve this dish huhu! But anyway, what ‘s more important is that Mati’s is still the same restaurant that I have loved and will love for years. It is located at the River Park side of Festivall Mall in Alabang where you get to enjoy the nice view of a man-made river while having a glass of your favorite wine over their pizzas and steaks.
Below are some of Mati’s Meat and Bread must-try dishes:
Camille’s Spinach and Aragula Salad (P240)
Let’s have a fresh start with Camille’s Spinach and Arugula Bean Salad (P240) which is made up of sliced mangoes, cherry tomatoes and beans to mask the bitter flavor of the arugula. A salad that is just light to whet your appetite.
Oyster Rockeffeler (P520)
Served on the half shell, slurp these luscious oysters topped with melted cheese. Their sweet and briny flavor is addicting. I think I can finish one order just by myself.
Salpicao Pizza (P420)
We had Mati’s extremely thin pizza in three flavors. I’m a fan of their thin crust pizzas that’s packed with flavors and loaded with cheese. You can’t go wrong with the Salpicao Pizza (P420) if you love the combination of beef and garlic. For something classic get the Pepperoni Pizza (P360) topped with mushrooms, onions and bell pepper. Tali’s Gamibretti (P400) is one of their best-seller pizza, composed of shrimps, garlic and anchovies. Each pizza comes with chili flakes on the side for that extra kick.

Another form of bread from Mati’s menu is the Prosciutto Ham Sandwich, I don’t know if I named it right haha. I think this one is something new. Salty and pungent prosciutto mixed with greens and tomatoes tucked in between breads. One order is enough to make you full. It comes with fries.

Seafood Pasta (P360)
Mati’s has six variations of pasta. You can try Mati’s mac and cheese, pasta in red sauce or pesto. A good pasta for me has al dente noodles and enough pasta and sauce ratio. I’m glad Mati’s had these qualifications hihi!
Wagyu Ribeye 180 grams (P1,200)
I have to save the best for last for the Wagyu Ribeye 180 grams (P1,200). If you’re familiar with Melo’s Steakhouse, Mati’s is the younger brother of Melo’s. They both sourced their beef from Australia so expect a quality USDA steak that’s somehow quite affordable. You don’t need to battle with the meat because it was done in medium rare making it easy to slice and chew.
The next time you’re heading to the South don’t hesitate to drop by at Mati’s.
