Bookworm can rejoice! There’s this coffee shop named Coffee Book along Congressional Avenue, from the name itself they combined two things that pretty goes well together. A coffee and a book! They have this mini library where you can freely borrow a book. If you want to escape from your busy techie life, grab a book and get you’re coffee fix inside this cafe.
Drinks are not just limited to coffee and frappes. They also serve Mocktails (P95.00/med;P110.00/large) like Lemon Grass Chiller, Cucumber Lychee Mojito, Sangria and many more. All available in either medium or large cup.
Hubby had his Triple Chocolate Frappe (P155.00), it was too sweet definitely loaded with chocolates. If you don’t want too much sugar, you can request for it.
I decided to had GreenTea Latte (P145.00) that day. Smooth and creamy matcha that is ligthly sweetened. I’m happy and contented with my drink.
After we had our drink, Nuggets (P130.00) came out of the kitchen. It was plain but can be a great companion while enjoying a book or chatting with your friends. It also comes with chips.
I want an al dente for my pasta. Coffee Book’s Pasta Lasagna Supreme (P130.00) was meaty but I want more cheese!
Fettuccine Alfredo (P130.00) has too much cream on it and flakes of tuna. If you’re not that picky it can be reasonable for a snack.
Coffee Book opens as early as 8:00 AM, if you’re a breakfast person and prefers carbs to pump up your day they have rice meals. Each dish comes with a “siksik” cup of rice and a sunny side up egg. We sampled the Tapa and Longganisa Meal (P160.00), tapa was a bit salty for me I just don’t know if they have vinegar to balance the taste. The longganisa was okay .
The Breakfast Sausage (P135.00) was actually good it reminds me of those sausages that you can get in the supermarket. Given that it was fried, it’s not soaking in oil.
Cajun Chicken (P140.00), chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. It was loaded with pepper, I’m expecting more of a smoky taste.
They also have pastries and cheese cakes on display that day. Cookies and Muffins comes in huge sizes that’s good enough for sharing.
One bite on S’mores (P125.00), just another one and another one. I’m controlling myself to have this dessert because it looks too sweet but I’m completely wrong. It has this bitter-sweet taste that’s so addicting.
From the time that I saw this M&M Cookie (P100.00) in the glass display counter I’m amazed because it was too big. It was moist, chewy and loaded with m&m’s it can go well with any drink.
