Eating healthy dishes can be sometimes challenging most impressions are, they are bland or not pleasing to the taste buds. The Urban Farm restaurant in BF Homes, Parañaque convinced me that healthy meals can be exciting too!
Interiors are very pleasing to the eyes from the walls with endearing quotes, simple chairs, tables with plastic flowers as centerpiece. Indulge in your favorite comfort food at The Urban Farm without feeling heavy or guilty afterwards.
We went there around lunch so we are all practically hungry kindly see below what we had to fill our complaining stomachs.
Creamy Beets Borcht (P249.00) a vibrant colored soup which came from the natural color of beets. It was so creamy with a cheesy taste so I personally asked the chef if it has a cheese on it, none!. A health-boosting soup, you can enjoy it either warm or cold.
Summer Citrus Salad (P219.00) lettuce, pineapple, mandarin orange, pomelo, cherry tomatoes tossed together with fried calamari and alfalfa sprouts. This is how I wanted my salad fresh and simple. The calamari is not greasy at all. The vinaigrette dressing just brighten up everything in the plate.
Grilled Salmon with Tomato Salsa (P339.00), well seasoned salmon but no MSG added. The salsa on top went well with the fish. It comes with slices of vegetables and mashed potato.
Baked Aubergine (P159.00), just pure eggplant, no meat and a good replacement for your lasagna. If all healthy food are as satisfying and delicious like this dish I’ll totally convert haha! Kidding aside, a must-try dish at The Urban Farm.
I love pesto especially in pasta, I was happy with Shrimp Pesto Pasta (P199.00) that it has the right color that I prefer not the one with too earthy green color which sometimes makes the pasta dry. Perfectly cooked with pieces of shrimp and alfalfa on top.
The Urban Farm’s Shiitake Malunggay Burger (P170.00), patty is made from shiitake mushroom and malunggay topped with pureed tomatoes. A guilt-free replacement for you calorie loaded burger and you wouldn’t notice that it has no meat all. It comes with sweet potato chips.
Nothing beats the crisp and clean flavors of fresh fruit juice. We had the Fresh Strawberry Mint (P180.00), so refreshing because of its minty taste and Lean Green Smoothie (P160.00) which is made of cucumber. You’ll get surprise that it can let you drink the whole glass without even thinking that it’s made of vegetable.
By the way, they have buffet every weekend for P300.00. So the next time you’re up for a big change you know where to go!:)
