Satisfy your late night cravings at Buendia Food by the Court

Finally there’s a Food Park in Makati! Out of love for basketball and food, Buendia Food by the Court was born. Slowly gaining its popularity in social media, I had to try it myself. Commuters should not worry as reaching the place is easy. From Baclaran take a bus heading to LRT Leveriza, drop off at Bautista St., it’s along the road just in front of Jollibee. The food stalls inside will let you travel to different countries for a gastronomy experience.  Make sure to be there early to get sure seats. For a more romantic feels, get a spot at the roof deck. Let me show you some dishes that we sampled during our visit.

LONGGA-NICHE-AH!

Buendia Food by the Court

Craving for longganisa? I know this dish may sound ordinary as there are different varieties of longganisa in the market. This a homemade recipe from Cabanatuan with a different twist, so tasty and juicy. Try the Salisburry Longga, Teriyaki Longga or Classic Longga for P150.00 each which comes with a rice and egg. Two thumbs up for the Crunchy Pancit Longga (P170.00)  and Cheesy Longga Balls (P160.00),  days had passed after our visit and yet I’m still craving for it!

LITTLE KODO

I was amazed how this small food stall was able to serve authentic and mouth-watering Japanese dishes. They have Ramen (P150.00), Donburi (P150.00), Maki (P130.00) and many more. Takoyaki (P70.00/4pcs.) mince veggies with bits octopus, soft and delicate but bursting with flavor.  The best takoyaki that I’ve tried so far.

SHANG KEE CHINESE BUNS DELICACIES

Buendia Food by the Court

At first glance, I thought this stall serves siopao which is kinda pricey but upon seeing their menu  that’s the time that I realized that it was a  cuapao. The main goal of Shang Kee is to revive the classic chinese buns yet revolutionize it with a twist from different countries. My personal favorite is the Classic Pork Belly (150.00), soft, fluffy jumbo, tender pork belly filling with fresh lettuce on top. Request for an extra sauce because it was really good! Other cuapao filling choices are the Pulled Pork, Crispy Chicken, Chicken Teriyaki, Peppery Beef and All-American which costs P150.00 each. No need to travel to Shanghai for that authentic taste of cuapao!

KESO KUMPADRE

Buendia Food by the Court

Potato and cheese addict? Who wouldn’t love the  combination, a perfect comfort food.  If you’re the type of fries fanatic who dunks her fries in gravy, you should try the Poutine Fries (170.00). The serving is quite big and good for sharing but for me I don’t want to share my Three Kinds of Pizza Fries (P170.00). I can have it all, I imagine myself lying on the couch all day, watching my favorite TV series with Keso Kumpadre on the side. Oh what a chill night! By the way, Buendia Food by the Court is open until midnight.

RJ’S BOWL-GOGI

Buendia Food by the Court

Complete you Korean addiction  with Rj’s Bowl-Gogi, from Bimbimbap, Japchae and Kimchi meals.  We had the Chicken Large Fried Steak (P170.00), the chicken is bigger than the size of my hand! I’m sure you will be fully loaded after having this meal. Also available in Pork and Beef and choice of seasonings: sweet and spicy, salt and pepper and honey glazed. The Crispy Fried Shitake with  mayo dip is addicting.  A must try appetizer or pica-pica.
