A bible verse from Corinthians greeted us at Stairway Cafe and Salon in Kawit Cavite. This small coffee shop is located along the highway of Wakas, we went there by riding a mini bus heading to Noveleta. It took us around 10 minutes from SM Bacoor as it was Saturday, less traffic.
I find this cafe very comfy and homey as you can sit on the floor with throw pillows surrounding you. Please take note to remove your shoes. What a best way to disconnect from work! Well, there’s socket and free wifi for your social media needs haha!
If you want a little privacy you may climb the stair loaded with different verses, this will lead you to the bunk type space which is good for 2 to 3 people.
Kawit is a historical place in Cavite, f you want to explore this town a little, Aguinado Shrine is located a few blocks away from Stairway Cafe.
Stairway Cafe and Salon opens as early as 6:00 AM everyday making it a perfect place to catch up with friends or families. Sad to say that milkshakes are available around 9:00AM I guess it’s just too early for a cold drink haha.
Take note, they combined the cafe and salon in one space. I’m sure waiting for your turn to have your nails or hair done will be different this time.
I had Salted Caramel Latte (P125.00), they uses arabica beans for a distinctive taste and aroma. One cup is enough to awaken my senses.
House-made choco (P90.00) for hubby, not too sweet and it has authentic taste of choco which I’m not sure if they used tablea for this.
While waiting for our orders we tried Stairway Cafe and Salon famous Suman sa Lihiya at Matamis na Suman. Aside that suman is really heavy for breakfast it also has a story to tell. Engineer Emilie Ronquillo (owner of Stairway Cafe and Salon) shared how they mother persevere in making and selling suman to support her family needs. Thus, making suman as part of their cafe to honor the handwork of her loving mother.
Stairway Cafe offers wide food choices aside from coffee and tea. I had Cinnamon Ham and Cheese (P140.00) which is amazingly cheap for its price. I particularly love the bread, it’s like a french toast loaded up with ham, melted cheese, fresh lettuce and fries on the side.
I didn’t know that fries is included in the sandwich so I ordered Hashbrown (P80.00) to satisfy my tummy. Oh I just love that my hashbrown is “siksik”, crispy and still warm upon serving paired with a thousand island dip.
Stairway Cafe and Salon is not just about money generating business, what struck me aside from their delicious meals is how they give back to their community. They help less fortunate kids by organizing feeding programs for them. Come to think of it, everytime you pay them a visit you’re sharing a small portion that can help other people.
After our sumptuous breakfast we headed to EnW Salon and Spa located along Centennial Road, this is bigger than the Salon in Stairway Cafe. They almost have everything you need for a pampering session from face , feet and up to your body.
Each treatment has its own area in the salon, my favorite spot is this one. My feet takes me anywhere so it’s just practical enough to treat them once in a while for a foot spa. I also had my nails done. Staffs are very pleasant and accommodating I just hope that they have a stool that can support my legs to lessen the “ngalay” part while I’m having my foot spa.
To keep hubby’s sanity while waiting for me to finish, he had an awesome time for himself by getting a facial.
You may also get your snacks and drinks while having a spa or treatment at the Stairway Cafe nook inside the salon.
I guess this is a must-place to go for ladies in Cavite as they also sells fashionable clothes and items under the House of OOTD.
Again, if you’re looking for a relaxing day out you should visit them.
