#ImusYouLikeCrazy at Buku Buku Kafe

image

Buku Buku Kafe at District Mall, Imus Cavite is not all about coffee, books and board games. They have brought something new to your usual coffee shop. Who wouldn’t notice the books hanged on the ceilings, a mini library, their hugot board, different board games and some vintage decors. I just love their Instagram worthy ambiance. Aside from that, they feature interesting events once in a while such as live bands, spoken word artists and arts workshops. Hooray! Coz’ they are doing a great job in supporting homegrown talents from the south.

I have witnessed this shop emerged from its humble beginnings to what it is today, a favorite hang out spot for Caviteños who wants to have their “me time” or “coffee break”.

Thanks to Buku Buku Kafe for bringing Ampalaya Monologues to Imus last July 9! A night of #ImusYouLikeCrazy hugotable quotes  from loving, moving on, long distance relationship, being single, bitterness, realization  and even death. Finally we got to see them live!

The crowd was serenaded with live music from UNWIND and Keen Miano.

Honestly, while I’m writing this down I can even recall some of their lines. I was able to record  their performances  and chose some of the lines that would surely hit you haha!

image

There’s a Basha in All of Us

image

Ikaw. Si Distance at Ako

“May pa couple couple watch pa sya, wala naman syang time sayo!”

Akin Ka na lang Please

image

Kasi bad yun eh!”

Huling Tagay na Ilalaklak Ko Para Sayo

image

“Bakit mo ko sini-seenzone? Bakit ka naka-two piece? Bakit hindi ka nakinig sakin? Ako ang lalaki dito kaya ako ang masusunod.Sabi ko. Okay, sige! Next time, mag lolong gown ako sa swimming pool.”

Violet ang Color ng Pag-ibig

image

I’m sure anyone can relate to some of their heart-wrenching lines, I even saw some girls who cried during “There’s a Basha In All of Us” performance.

Meet Mark Ghosn, the very talented man behind the Ampalaya Monologues. I wonder where he based all the “hugot” factors to  come up with awesome pieces.
