EMBOA’s Flores De Ermita

Ermita-Malate Business Owners Association  also known as EMBOA was established last 2012 by a group of owners, residents and committed citizens of Ermita and Malate that aims to bring back the glorious days of the place as tourist and business destination.

To celebrate the Flores de Mayo. a part of Filipino festival held every  May as part of devotions to Virgin Mary, one of their project recently was the “Paseo De Malate Flores De Ermita” held last May 27, 2016. It’s a series of activities from Manila Hotel and ended at Robinsons Place Manila.

This year, it showcases the “Kasuotang Pilipino Fashion Show” by young fashion designers of the Fashion Designers Association of the Philippines. Below are some of their creative designs:

The “sagalas” paraded around the streets of Ermita Malate with our very own Kalesa (horse drawn carriage).

EMBOA decided  to showcase more historic and heritage buildings and establishments with historic value in the streets of Katigbak drive, Orosa, UN Avenue, Adriatico and the redeveloped Remedios Circle Park in Malate. Their mission was to continue to promote the arts, culture  and revive Ermita-Malate as a tourism destination in the Philippines.

After the parade, it was followed by a mini fashion at Robinsons Manila. It’s not only a celebration of beauties but they also aim to revisit the charm of Manila which once known as the pearl of the orient.
