Food fight at 7 Flavors Buffet

image

It was supposed to be a movie night that turned into a food fight with hubby.  Yes! It’s given that food unite us together, the best fight we can ever have! haha! Recently we tried the 7 Flavors Buffet along San Juan Manila. It was very accessible  for commuters like us, from Starmall Shaw we took one jeepney ride to Mandala Park (just after SnR) walked 4 blocks toward Mabini. Anyway you can just take a cab, we decided to walk so we can ready our appetite for the buffet haha!

A two-storey building with a spacious parking. Outside you will noticed the mural of Chef Boy Logro as he partly owned the restaurant.

They serve Lunch and Dinner Buffet daily, refer to the photo on top for the specific schedules and prices. Now, let me tour you inside the establishment.

The receptionist on-duty will assist you, for a la carte order they have  the Gourmet Cafe which is located on the ground floor while  on the second floor is the World Fusion Buffet Restaurant. By the way, they also have the Artisan Bakery located in front of the parking lot.

image

They serve Breakfast Meal  (Php 250.00) such as French Toast and Omelet, Hog Heaven, Pork Tocino, etc. paired with coffee, for Main Course you may choose from Rib Eye Steak (Php 400.00), Salmon with Basil (Php 360.00), and etc. Sandwiches like Chicken Sandwich (Php 180.00), Fresh Shakes (Php 130.00), Fruit Juices (Php 90.00), Coffee and Alcoholic drinks.

If you want more value to your money, I suggest you proceed to their second floor. It’s not the typical buffet resto where the buffet table are scattered in different parts of the dining area.

image

If you prefer a little privacy, they have glass panel partitions that can accommodate small groups. Interiors are not that fancy but it looks comfortable as you will not get intimidated to roam around through the buffet tables.

image

Honestly, as I go on to their dishes my initial reaction was they have limited choices compared to other buffets that we have tried. Food presentation is simple. As I said earlier, we’re on food fight so we did our best to try each dishes hihi!

image

For a nutritious start they have Potato Leeks Soup ,  Salad Bar Station with 6 choices of dressings and a Macaroni Salad.

image

image

My favorite part on the first table was the Tacos, crispy homemade taco plus the flavorful beef, salsa and lots of cheese. I have the freedom to put any ingredients that I want but make sure to consume it asap as the taco easily get soft.

Fresh Fruits are limited to papaya, pineapple and watermelon which all taste sweet.

image

For the Main Course  I tried almost everything except for the Plain Rice. I decided to go for a half cup of  Fried Rice  so I can indulge myself to other cuisines. Seafood Oriental, combination of breaded fish and squid.

image

Salmon Head Hoisin. The hoisin sauce gives justice to this dish with its sweet and salty taste has a little kick to it but not too spicy. Hmm a bigger salmon head is much better  so we can at least enjoy a plenty of meat.

image

Meat Balls with Tangy Sauce. You can actually taste the meat not just extenders, one of my all time favorite dish. The big chunks of veggies are somehow distracting hehe!

image

Tender chicken meat tossed over a creamy  buttery sauce with asparagus. I think Chicken Asparagus goes well with plain rice.

image

Fish Finger ala Orly,  I’m not sure what kind of fish is this, batter is not too thick which makes it crunchy. It resemble the fish in seafood oriental just remove the sauce.  Perfect for appetizer.

image

The Beef Kare-Kare was a bomb , the oxtail, beef tripe (tuwalya) and vegetables complimented with a thick savory peanut sauce.  The meat from the oxtail was very tender and I really like the sweet and salty taste of their  bagoong.

image

Soy Tofu. A simple dish, but tofu absorbed the black bean sauce which makes the dish delicious .image

Napoleon Vegetable stands out for me among all the dishes. If you don’t eat vegetables this dish will change your mind haha. Imagine it’s like you’re eating a baked mac just replace the pasta with eggplant and topped with lots of cheese.

image

The tender meat of Roast Beef was also good and tasty. I think it would be better if they will serve it hot so that the sauce will not feel greasy.

image

My favorite part of every buffet is the shrimp tempura. It  was crisp and delicious but I was a bit disappointed that their shrimp was so small.

image

Pork Tonkatsu may not look special but it’s crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

image

The eye-catching presentation of Sushi Platter! The ingredients are undoubtedly fresh   and the combinations are perfectly executed. Oh take note! I fell in love with their Sashimi!

image

image

Brownies, Cream Puff, Yema Cake, Cupcakes, Blueberry/Mango Pana Cotta, Mango Sagu, super moist Red Velvet Cake, Rum Balls, best-tasting Macarons for desserts! If you want something cold,  ice cream and  make your own halo-halo are available.

They may have limited selections of dishes but it’s worth the foodie experience!
