It was our second year of being married (yey!may forever!), we agreed that we will celebrate it at home because we just had our Cebu trip last March. But due to terrible heat we really wanted to soak ourselves in the pool and besides summer will end so soon! To avoid long travel and traffic we searched for resorts near our house.
Two rides from home, for less than 30 minutes we reached Marilag Subdivision. Riding tricycle is optional because according to the manong we asked, we can just walk and that’s what we did.
After few minutes walk, welcome to Palmas del Sol Resort! If you want to bring your car they have spacious parking. As of now they only have limited rooms (4 single rooms and 2 family rooms) available so if you’re planning to stay overnight make sure to get your reservation to avoid the hassle. We got our room easily because we went there on a weekday!
Single room can accommodate up to 4 people and it comes with free swimming and breakfast (24 hours stay) for two. They have flexible accommodation rates, if you just want the room for the sake of keeping your things while swimming you can rent it for 3, 6, 12 hours or 24 hours for a longer stay.
Our air-conditioned room was very simple everything in white, from the walls, tiled floors, bed sheets and pillows. I love it! It gives additional brightness to our room and at the same time time we can guarantee that it’s all clean. The sheets and pillows smells fresh too!
We brought our own towels and toiletries because we didn’t know that the resort will provide it. They have set of towels, soap, shampoo, toothbrush and toothpaste. Not in fancy bottles but it’s good enough for one day use. Intercom is available for room service.
They may have old style television but don’t worry it has cable hihi .
Yes! we have our own clean private comfort room but unfortunately hot and cold shower is not working we have to use have to use dipper “tabo” and pail instead.
After we settled our things, we went to the pool side. By the way, the rooms are a little bit far from the pool so better bring all the things you needed to avoid walking back and forth. They don’t charge corkage fee for outside food except for alcoholic drinks. If you don’t want to hassle yourself in bringing your food why not try their in-house restaurant. I’ll talk about their meals later!
Bar is open until 2:00 AM. To entertain the crowd most especially during weekends they hire live bands.
Palmas del Sol Resort is also open for venue rental, will post their website below that you can check if you want to know more about their prices.
I know you’ve been wanting to see the pool! Tada! A big pool surrounded by lush greenery for a more refreshing swim. I’ve noticed that they were able to maintain the cleanliness of their pool. The water would not irritate your eyes.
No separate children’s pool but there’s a shallow part where your kids can swim. I think the deepest part of their pool is around 4 ft. They don’t have a stand by lifeguard so make sure don’t leave your kids unattended. Nipa huts and cottages are scattered along the pool side.
We own the resort that night and I’m happy! We have the moment to literally relax and have a good conversation by the pool.
We met Ms. Summer, the owner while we’re inside the kubo. An American, who decided to build her family here in the Philippines. She said kids here have more respect to their parents which is true right? She’s down to earth and I admire her simplicity. We talked about life, family, travel and so much more that we didn’t even noticed the time.
We had Nachos XL, Palmas Sisig Fries and one pitcher of Cocktail to complete our celebration. We never thought that one serving is good for sharing for 3-4 pax. Nachos is overwhelming with toppings of chili con carne, tomaoes, jalapenos, onions. melted cheese, olives and so many more. I think they are so generous hehe! So far out of all the nachos we tried this one is on our top list considering its price. It was so good, hay I’m craving now! Sisig fries was also a bomb! Fries dressed to the max with chopped up pork and spicy dressings.
We got lazy the next day, thank you to their room service we had our breakfast inside our room. It was a complimentary breakfast where you had an option to choose from their breakfast menu. I got Bacon Sandwich for me and Tosilog for hubby. I’m thinking maybe it’s “konti” because it’s free so I added Pancake Short Stack.
We never expected that this resort along Dasmarinas Cavite serves good and quality meals. I know for sure that we will back to try their other meals! (Resto and bar is open to the public even if you’re not going to use their pool)
I have attached their menus so you have a glimpse of their prices for your next trip with your family or friends.
Maintaining a good marriage would really require a lot of hard work, that’s why it’s important to have a quality time with your partner. Have a little fun under the sun while having a good conversation together.
Can’t wait for our next trip!?
