Everyone’s talking about summer vacation, hitting the beach, trying out extreme water sports, visiting an old town or some might be contented for a staycation. But most people still choose Baguio, a perfect venue to escape the summer heat.

Few hours travel and a few stop over we finally reached the summer capital of the Philippines. We stayed at Azalea Hotels and Residences, the first 4-star serviced apartment hotel located in a secluded hill (few minutes away from downtown Session Road) in Baguio City. We were greeted by warm welcome of their staff and a refreshing strawberry drink.

Hubby and I stayed in a one-bedroom apartment suite, it was spacious, extremely clean and so welcoming with a basket of fruits and fresh flowers. I immediately headed out to the balcony to take a peek of the view, I forgot that  our room was just on the first floor haha.

I thought that this was our bed, upon checking the whole room I noticed that this is just a sofa that can be converted into a bed. This room can actually fits more people with its size of 45 sqm. there will be  enough space for everyone.

Equipped with two LCD TV with DVD Player, a comfy sofa bed, dim lights  plus the cold weather of Baguio, I bet you would’t want to leave this room.

too lazy to go out!

My back easily get tired after a long walk  or  travel,  the best way I tame it is to dump myself into a  soft mattress with silky-smooth sheets and fluffy pillows. For me the bed is the most important element in my hotel room. I’m glad Azalea have it, plus the fact that their sheets don’t smell like strong detergents.

If you want a luxury of a hotel but with the atmosphere  and comfort of home, you should definitely try them out. Aside from the fact that you have your own living room, you can also cook your own food as Electric cooktops, microwave oven, rice cooker, refrigerator, electric water kettle, dinnerware and silverware sets are provided. Unfortunately, I didn’t  had the chance to show the  wifey chef in me haha!

Did I told you that they have the nicest bathroom? From clean towels, bathrobe  and cute toiletries. Almost all the things that you need for your vacation are readily available.

Azalea people can make your stay comfortable as the way you want it to be.  They are very accommodating, we requested for a coffee (we can’t sleep without it!) in the middle of the night and it doesn’t took them so long to deliver it to us with a smile. They  even leave you a box of treats as little surprise after your long day outside the hotel.

enjoying our coffee date  night and the strawberry treats!

You never have to go far to search for good food, hmm let me rephrase it to  delicious and quality food. Tradisyon (Pinoy Comfort Food) brings you well-loved and familiar local and international cuisine. Some of my personal favorites are Binagoongang Bagnet and Kare-Kare and you should never forget to try their hot chocolate! Trust me! More about them on my next blog! For the meantime, let me give you a peek to their coffee shop.

Azalea has an indoor 8 degrees Bar Lounge that can accommodate at least 20 persons. For a more intimate bonding session with your family or friends (group getaway) this is a chill out spot while sipping one of their best seller cocktails.

A Family holiday haven, I’m sure kids will love their outdoor play area  while enjoying the cold breeze of Baguio.

  1. I have seen enough of Azalea to want to give this a try. Overall for me, after reading your post, I can see that the rooms and facilities are good for me, but for food, there really are a lot of places I would like to try in Baguio.

  2. I’ve heard so much about Azalea Residences, looks like it’s becoming the go-to accommodation in Baguio now.

Off-topic, may I suggest that you make your font size a little bigger, to be honest, it was hard reading this and my eyesight is good. Your other readers who have poor eyesight may have difficulty though. Just a suggestion. 🙂

  3. That’s just cozy! I’ve never been to Baguio, but would love to visit someday. Haha Sadly, I am becoming a foreigner in my own country, having traveled to only 6 of its many islands, and only a few places in Luzon. Looks like you really enjoyed your stay at the hotel. Is it far from the attractions?

  4. The place looks so cozy. I will choose this compared to other hotels since it has a kitchen. That will save you more money instead of buying foods outside. I also love the interior. And the view from the bed. Thanks for the suggestion 🙂 Baguio will always be the Philippines summer capital.

  5. I have been wanting to have a staycation since summer hits the wave. The temperature here in Cavite is 37 degrees Celsius. Thank you for making an article about this. We would like to try Azalea Resindences, it looks cozy. How much are their rates?

    1. Hi Jaymee, I’m from Cavite too!? You can click the Azalea Residences Baguio link on my blog, their published rate is a little bit pricey but to give you a tip you can get big discount if you call them!?

Another beautiful place to discover. I like the place, it’s classy but cost. The bed looks just the way I like it. I’m most in love with those wooden sunglasses! How cool they are!

  8. Azalea. Sounds like a famous woman rapper. Kidding. Well, i must say the room itself looks luxurious. If i have a condo unit that looks like that, it would be hard to get up and go to work. All i would do is lie on the bed.

  9. I’ve read quite a lot of posts about Azalea and even if Baguio is my hometown, I haven’t visited this place yet which makes me even more motivated to visit. I would love to stay here on my birthday on May!! 🙂 The place looks posh in the pictures as well.
