Cruising Magazine (travel magazine of Manila Bulletin) just turned 16. Every celebration deserves good food yay!?. In partnership with Zomato they searched for 16 must try restaurants along Metro Manila, anyone can participate by just posting your favorite food on their facebook page and answer their question. They will choose 10 winners for each leg.
Yes, it’s easy as that and you may get a chance to win a dinner for two.?
After series of entries (as I said many times try lang ng try?), finally they picked me for their ninth leg!☺️ Maybe the shrimp was really meant for me because it’s my favorite (btw I’m allergic to shrimp haha!), thanks to my standby anti histamines hihi!?
What’s my entry? Short and simple.
Dinner was set last October 8 at Shrimp Bucket (UP Town Center, Quezon City Branch). Perfect for our advance monthsary celebration, I just noticed my birthdate is 9 and our anniv number as gf/bf was also 9. It’s our lucky number!?
Shrimp Bucket was exclusive for us that night, so it’s not too crowded.
They started the night with games, maybe to made us all hungry haha!? There were taste test and Q&A portion.
And then the appetizer, the pork was perfectly fried it almost melt in your mouth. I think the salad had a taste of bagoong I forgot to ask the waitress for confirmation, but it taste really good. The serving was big and it almost made me full.
Here comes the main dish, the interesting part was, when the waitress came out from their kitchen holding a big stainless bucket. Place it on our table and pull out a big plastic bag of shrimps swimming in its own sauce. When she opened the plastic bag you can smell the aroma of butter and salted egg. We have tried many shrimp dishes before, this time it’s unique shrimp with salted egg. Take note “sauce palang ulam na”.
We shared our table with other winners, aside from we enjoyed our food we also gained new friends.?
Their shrimp was so addicting, I ate 3 pieces! I still want more but I’ve noticed there’s rashes already on my face!Time to stop!sayang!? The owner was so kind we even brought home our left over food.?
Meal is not complete without dessert, I’m not a fan of sago but this one is just right to remove the saltiness taste of the shrimp.
